Aquatrek in the clear waters of the Pescia stream

Excursion in the bed of Pescia stream, the engine of the economy. Along its course, paper mills, mills and oil mills were born; on this wet excursion we will visit ancient factories and discover the ingenuity of unknown artists and engineers who have made the most of the green energy of past eras which today returns to be a valid alternative to fossil fuels

Spring and Autumn: we walk along the banks of the Pescia stream and soon we go up the Rio San Rocco path: here we meet a 19th century factory called the “Fabbrichetta” where the paper was worked by hand, we will see the hydraulic works that led the waters of the river inside the building to ensure the energy necessary to operate the machinery and we will linger on the river bed playing to identify the interesting animal and vegetable living forms that inhabit the place

Summer: the excursion starts from the Sorana Bridge. Swimsuit and trekking shoes is what you will have to wear to make two kilometers of easy aquatrekking where there is no shortage of pools in which to take a swim. Along the way we discover the modeling action of water and take a look at the belly of a 17th century oil mill … immersed in lush nature!
