Week End to discover Valleriana

Excursion in the chestnut groves of the valley to know the gastronomic delights of typical products with a visit to a farm. Cross and delight of our grandparents, chestnuts have been the daily bread for centuries! In the woods we will discover the animals that live there and we will visit the shelters built by men and women who still draw the fruits of it today

The excursion starts from the Castella di Medicina, after a dutiful visit to the village, the path will take us to visit the chestnut groves that a chestnut farmer and shepherd is recovering with the passion to obtain that flour which, upon request, can be tasted in the typical products of the area. such as necci and castagnaccio. During the walk we will be able to admire the votive chapels and the hermitages that are scattered in the woods, an ancient testimony of the devotion of the locals. Thus we arrive at Bosco delle Fate, the fulcrum and nerve center of the farm we will visit
